European values matter to many, yet they are still rarely examined, debated or taught. The Chair in European Values (UCLouvain) was created to fill that gap by fostering research, debate and education of values in all their diversity and complexity. The Chair already achieved a lot [www.uclouvain.be/europeanvalues] but still much more needs to be done. Thanks to your gift, the Chair could further increase its impact, by deepening research on European values, by widening its communication (e.g. through translations) and by diversifying and expanding its educational activities. The Chair could thus reach an even wider variety of groups in society, including young people and policy makers.
